Went to D1 today. Good times. Some drama with some of the judging decisions in final rounds, as expected with professional drifting. I only took one picture while I was there.

This car was a suprise to see. Bruces FC from Risky Devil, sporting new paint, new aero, new hood, new wheels, and a bunch of cool stickers. 2001 drift car style, in 2009.

After D1, went and chilled by the lake, got some grub, good times today.

Third times a charm.

All the cylinders were between 170-180psi.

So I guess I just had a faulty gauge on my other compression tester. Those first readings still worry me alittle though.

Atleast now I have some fresh coolant in the car. Now to get back to figuring out why the car sputters/misfires at higher rpms. Need to get ahold of a timing gun and change the sparkplugs.

Here are some pics from when I stopped by TFWorks the other day. They needed the car to test fit some cool things.

about to go on the lift. Nice to get the entire car in the air. I was able to find the oil leaks which are from the valve cover gasket and distributor, also noticed the tie rod boots are torn.

The gauge I had was acting up, so I returned it and got another one.

This time around, all my cylinders read around 170-180psi. Hmm Ill probably do another test later this week.

The reason I decided to do a compression test was because my coolant was an odd color.

Drained the coolant and it seems like the previous owner had mixed red and green coolant.

I also noticed the tips of my sparkplugs were pretty white.

Hopefully everything checks out and everything is fine. Well see.

-swapped over the Bride Zeta I from the S13, got some used Buddyclub rails.
-swapped over my Personal 330mm steering wheel, got a BOSS 75mm hub, and a Works Bell 15mm spacer shortly after because my knuckles kept hitting the turn signals
-pulled front fenders using hammers and dollys, still not done, plan on doing a light layer of bondo to make it smooth
-bashed in front wheel wells for turning clearance
-dremeled front bumper for turning clearance aswell, typical corolla stuff
-front lip was originally mounted the oem way, so i remounted it below the bumper, hangs like an extra 1 1/2 - 2 inches lower
-lowered car, in pictures, that is Greddy Type S coilovers with a collar removed in rear, and i evened the front height to match.
-oil change, oem filter always.
-FINALLY registered the car today, no more riding dirtyyy

Ive been driving it here and there, ive made several changes with the dampening and settings on the car. All I know is that the car is a blast to drive and its continually getting more and more fun the more I play with it. Id post up my settings so far in a later post even though Im no expert.

Just need to sort out a thing or two on the car and hopefully AutoX with WCMC on Saturday. Ive never been autoxing before, so I cant wait to see how I do, or if ill even like it!

Thanks Rob for sending me these and a copy of Hachiroku MAX magazine. Took two of the RT615's off the Celica Supra wheels and mounted them up on these. They are SSR mesh face with HART barrels, effectively making them 14x8 -12. Just did a quick test fit, I know my car is high, Ill fix that.

Car was acting up on me the past few days, turns out the starter took a shit on me. Big thanks to Josh for letting me borrow his to see if it was the problem. Just ordered a used supposidly good working condition one off Ebay and ill be back up and ready to go.

Since most the ppl went to DDay, after me and my girlfriend put the starter in + getting some Hooters, did a night cruise to the city with a few of my Honda friends from the CrazuKnights crew. Man they get down on the highway! Went to the spot, did some longboarding, super chill awesome night, wouldn't have it any other way.

I haven't updated this in awhile so just showing that I'm still alive. Basically I've been going out way too much and not going to school nearly enough. Zero motivation, Zero drive. I feel like something is missing and I feel like I'll do anything but school to keep me occupied and try not to think about it. So that's that.

For once I didn't go out this weekend, and I actually was able to work on my car. Turned on some music, just me, my car, and a handful of tools just wrenching. It really just let me chill, and kind of put things in perspective. My crutch, I think way too much, like way too much.

Enough of that, I wont get into details, back to the car since I'm trying to keep this more focused towards car life. I haven't really driven the car since its been getting. I never really assessed the damage after flying off Sheridan road about a month ago since the car felt and drove fine. Well I finally got the car in the air and the driver side rear tie rod end (hicas model 240) was like broken and ready to come off and it looks slightly bent. I was too lazy to assess much more since I have all winter but now i definitely want to go check everything.

Touge Factory had a black friday sale for a few hours so I definitely dropped some doe. Picked up Nismo motor mounts, Nismo tranny mount, Energy steering rack bushings, TF SPL c-pillar bar, a bunch of extra TF/STANCE/ORIGIN shirts, and an AR10 helmet since all these years I've been driving I never got my own helmet and the price was right.

A few people have been asking me about whats done to my car so here is a quick rundown. Engine wise its a bone stock KA with a Koyo radiator. Suspension wise, STANCE GR+ Pro coilovers 9k/7k, Kazama tension rods, Kazama HICAS lock bar, Kazama subframe collars, Tein tie rods, HICAS steering rack, HICAS rear sway bar. Outside is stock except for some H4 Headlights and some 6k HID's since the original plan was a socal canyon fun car but then I moved back. Fuck Chicago for not having roads like that. Inside I have a Bride Zeta I seat, white 330mm wheel, Nismo shiftknob, spin turn knob. Right now I'm using Hankook RS2's in the front and pretty much whatever tires I can get for the rear. I also hope to get some Project Mu D1 spec pads for the rear and Hawk Plus's for the fronts to replace my Hawk streets that I have on it right now. Im also on a welded diff right now which feels like poop for anything besides sliding around and I can definitely feel the difference between this and my old Cusco 2way that I had in the miata. Oh well, I'm trying to keep the car as budget as possible. Just a fun car that I can throw around and practice and continue
learning new things with.

I really can't wait to get out of this cold weather and get back to socal. A year and a half left.

Forecast is showing rain and snow storms tomorrow, which means soon the salt trucks will be coming out. So it looks like i'll be putting the car down for winter. One winter with this car would probably rust the crap out of my car with all the exposed metal on the frame rails and such.

Quite a few people have some pretty crazy and awesome winter plans for their cars. Mine are pretty simple since I don't work while I'm finishing school. So my winter plan is to basically refresh the car a bit, get new motor mounts and trans mount, take care of all the fluids, make sure everything is tight and nothing is bent, get a fresh alignment, fix the ebrake, tires tires tires, and putting the car on a little diet.

Makes me think like damn, i continually just buy the same stuff over and over again but yeah they are wear items and shit wears when you drive hard.

Anyways, i want to see this, ive always seen him in movies but i never knew he was into driving. Looks pretty cool.

I still find it hard to believe that I am where I am now. How could I pack my entire life into a little luggage and just get up and move from everything and everyone I've known. Spontaneous, foolish, scared, I'm all these things. It may have not been the smartest move to make but when your thinking in the moment, one can tend to act irrational and just do it. One minute I'm studying for an exam at NIU. The next minute I've dropped out of school. The next minute I'm on a plane with no direction and with one intent, to get away.

A fresh start is always nice but did I really need it? Was life so bad that I was willing to throw it all away? Probably not. But I did, and here I am, a license-less kid living in downtown Fullerton keeping himself busy at a junior college pretending to have a direction in life and fully confident in my own success.

Do I regret it? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Try to live your life with no regrets right, but I have many. I did move on a whim without thinking and with no idea of what I was going to do but in doing so, it opened myself up to new opportunities and new people. Yet at the same time, who knows how many missed opportunities I left back at home.

We'll see where this road I am traveling takes me. One spontaneous action can change your entire direction in life. You can either try to take it back or just go with it. I'll go with the latter, it's kind of nice to try and stick to a decision I made for once. Not having to deal with six months of cold Chicago weather is a plus.
